SANCA Horizon is the only registered centre in Gauteng and neighbouring provinces that offers a specialised in-patient treatment programme for teenage boys AND girls. For adults with addiction problems, we offer a 28 day in-patient programme for drug and medication addiction and 21 days for alcohol addiction. We also offer out-patient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction for both teenagers and adults. All our programmes are family centered. A multi-disciplinary team is invloved in all programmes. The team consists of social workers, nursing sisters, care workers, a consulting doctor, psychiatrist and clinical psychologist. The multi-disciplinary team enables us to accomodate dual diagnosis patients.
SANCA Horizon offers aftercare for a period of one year free of charge to its patients and their families. Medical aids covers the costs of treatment, depending on the availability of funds.
Prevention services are offered to schools (learners, parents and educators), as well as small to large corporate and industrial companies. Training in the field of substance abuse is offered. |

Our 28-day-programme is based on the Minnesota Disease Model of Addiction, including the 12 Step Programme as followed by Hazelden, U.S.A. We offer group counselling, educational lectures, 12 Step Meetings and written 12 Step work. By introducing holistic healing, addicts are treated according to one of the Twelve Step Programme's vital philosophies - namely that the physical, mental and spiritual components of each addict's individual life are mutually connected. This threefold disease concept of addiction is now manifested in all aspects of Harmony's treatment model, offering Yoga, Full Body Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Acupuncture, Reiki, Drumming and NIA Dance Technique.
